My name is Gilbert Lennox and I am a Bible teacher, writer and photographer from Northern Ireland.

I am married to Heather and we have four adult children and 9 grandchildren.

I have been involved in Bible teaching and church leadership for over 50 years. In 1995 I left my role as Head of Modern Languages in Ballyclare High School to lead the staff team at Glenabbey Church, a church which my wife and I and helped to establish in 1988.

Now retired from my leadership role at Glenabbey, I divide my time between family, Bible teaching both locally and internationally, mentoring younger leaders, writing and photography.

I am the author of God Speaking: how to read the Bible to get to know God, published by SPCK in the UK earlier this year (2026) and having its USA launch in September at the Sing! Conference, Nashville.

I am also the current chair of New Horizon, a Christian Festival and Bible teaching week that takes place each year on the North Coast of Ireland where we live. And I am a keen landscape and nature photographer.
